So all the experimenting I’ve been doing with comic layouts of late has taught me something.
Namely, it becomes a LOT harder to maintain an update schedule when you’re freeforming your layout and having ideas that expand into the equivalent of several standard strips worth of space.
Sure, they’ve been hella fun to draw, don’t get me wrong, but without structure, things start to wander and fall apart, and it takes even longer to come up with proper pacing.
With that said, the freeform comics are NOT dead. I do like the layout experimenting. But I’m gonna have to make a concerted effort to rein them in somewhat.
That said, yes, the origins of the cloning cylinder are sorta a dumb story indeed.
And yeah, it’s not technically a cylinder, but whatever, blame Timothy Zahn for my default terminology.
