I know I said “Saturday morning”, but this comic faced a couple of obstacles:
1. Cartoons.
2. The background in panel 5.
Seriously, if you’re going to do a wide shot in a bar, and hope to reuse it later, you need to do detailing. And as everyone knows, bars aren’t usually empty, so you have to fill it with characters. I’ve got a few easter eggs in there that are WAY too small to see, but since I draw at 4X the final published size….
Well, it just means it’s easier to reuse/scale backgrounds 🙂
